News

Staff and learners  from the Centre took part in a transnational visit to Thessaloniki in Greece along with our partners from the Czech Republic, Turkey and Italy.  We took part in cretive arts workshop and cultural visits.

Ballybeen Women's Centre held a very successful dissemination event about More Women into Politics - More Women in 2014 in June 2014.  It was an opportunity to recognise the achievements of all our participants .  Diane Dodds MEP attended and spoke at the event.

Women on the More Women into Politics programme and from Ballybeen visited the European Parliament in Brussels.  This visit was sponsored by Diane Dodds MEP.

Ballybeen Women's Centre joined in the celebrations in Belfast to mark International Women's Day.

Parties were held in the Centre, Creche, Pre School, Toddler Group and Afterschools' Club to celebrate 30 years of Ballybeen Women's Centre in the community.

6 women and 2 staff travelled to Opava in the Czech Republic as part of our Grundtvig Learning Partnership - Rhythms of the Year.  They were joined by women from Turkey, Greece and Italy and took part in creative arts workshops and cultural activities and visits

We are delighted with our new artwork depicting the work of the Ballybeen Women's Centre over the past 30 years.

Women and staff travelled to Cavan to meet the new management committee of the Breffni Belles. Everyone participated in a festive card making session and the cards made were to Human Rifghts' Activists in Honduras, Palistine, Nigeria, UK and Russia through Amensty International. This residential was funded through the Lisburn Castlereagh Peace 3 Partnership.
