On Wednesday 23rd June 2010 the Centre's annual Presentation of Certificates was held in the Stormont Hotel.  Women who had completed education and training courses during the past year were presented with their certifcates.  Young people who had completed courses on the Peer Education Project were also presented with their certifcates. 

Ballybeen Women’s Centre held a national conference “Celebrating European Citizenship and Achievement” on Wednesday 23rd June at the Stormont Hotel. The event was part of a Europe for Citizens Project entitled “Dialogue with the EU: Voices of the European Citizen”. The event was attended by over 100 people. As well as women and young people guests included local Councillors, representatives from DSD and the voluntary and community sectors. 

Ballybeen Women's Centre is a member of the Women's Centres Regional Partnership which has received a Big Lottery grant of nearly £1 million under the Live and Learn funding programme.  This grant will be used to run the Women’s Centres Learning Partnership project that offer families and communities a chance to develop skills and improve their lifestyle.

Ballybeen Women's Centre is holding 3 events to mark Adult Learners' Week which runs from 9th May to 16th May 2009:
Monday 11th May - Culture and Diversity Coffee Morning 10am-12noon
Tuesday 12th May - Visit to the Public Records Office 10am-2pm
Friday 15th May - Positive Parenting Workshop 1pm-3pm
